Offender Collaborative Report - Healthier People, Safer Communities

Category: News

The Offender Health Collaborative was established to support the implementation of the Better Health, Better Lives for Prisoners: a framework for improving the health of Scotland’s prisoners developed by the Scottish Prison Service, Health Promotion Managers and the Scottish Public Health Network.

In support of wider implementation, the Offender Health Collaborative commissioned the report, Healthier People, Safer Communities (attached), to better understand how the BHBL framework should be extended to improve the health of offenders.  Tina Everington, NHS Forth Valley has produced this comprehensive report identifying short, medium and long term actions for the Offender Health Collaborative.
