L&B CJA Responds to Reform

Category: News

On 16 December 2013 the Cabinet Secretary announced that responsibility for the planning and delivery of community justice is to transfer to Community Planning Partnerships, and that a new national body is to be established to provide independent assurance on delivery of outcomes and to undertake the strategic delivery of services where appropriate. CJAs will cease to exist. A further consultation on the scope, structure and governance arrangements or the new body is to take place early in 2014. The new arrangements are unlikely to come into effect until 2016/17.
