Action Plan 2010-11 - Our key developments and how they will be implemented

A key part of the Lothian and Borders Area Plan 2008-11 is the Action Plan, which details the wide range of developments for each year.

The Action Plan is reviewed and updated on an annual basis and the 2010-11 Action Plan has now been published and it builds on the current 2009-10 Action Plan which is actively being developed across Lothian and Borders, through the expertise, time and resource of a range of multi agency groups.

The 2009-10 Action Plan was postively received by the Scottish Government - some of their observations are

- A very well laid out and comprehensive action plan, clearly connected to the area plan

- The plan includes considerable evidence of consultation and joint working

- A good plan, which when read with the area plan reflects progress on the actions identified in the 2008-09 plan and provides explanation of new and planned initiatives to be taken into account in the coming year

Each key development has been allocated to a CJA group or workstream. The Chairs of each group and the Project Managers of the workstreams come from a range of partner organisations and they work with a range of criminal justice organisations to develop and implement the key actions for their work. The 2010-11 Action Plan demonstrates how the work will continue and also highlights new developments which impact the work of the CJA.

The Chairs report the progress of their group to the CJA each quarter and a summary report is submitted to the CJA meeting highlighting the status of their work.
