The Lothian and Borders MAPPA Annual Report published by the `Responsible Authority`, outlines the progress that has been made through the multi-agency public protection arrangements (MAPPAs) in our area.
The `Responsible Authority` in Lothian and Borders is the name given to the agencies who work together to assess, manage, review and monitor the risks posed by registered sex offenders. These agencies are Lothian and Borders Police, the Scottish Prison Service, the five local authorities of City of Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian, West Lothian and Scottish Borders, NHS Lothian and NHS Borders.
Lothian and Borders Community Justice Authority's Action Plan for 2010-11 will reflect the ongoing development of MAPPA across our area.
