Lothian and Borders CJA and Families Outside hosted the one day seminar 'Family Matters' at Newbattle Abbey College. Dalkeith on the 17th March 2010.
With guest speaker Fergus Ewing MSP, Minister for Community Safety opening the event, over 30 organisations came together to discuss and agree how families of offenders could be engaged with and supported througout the criminal justice process.
Feedback from the day has been very positive and all of the actions that came from the three workshops will be developed further through the CJA Families Strategic Group. A summary of the key actions produced on the day are included in the Family Matters Newsletter.
