Lothian and Borders annual accounts will be published each year after they have been audited and approved by the Scottish Government. Lothian and Borders undergoes an external audit each year by the Scottish Government appointed auditor, who is currently Audit Scotland. The Community Justice Authorities were formed by an Act of Parliament in 2005 and their strategy was laid out in the National Strategy for the Management of Offenders document produced in 2006.
