Lothian and Borders CJA submitted their final draft Area Plan 2011-14 to Government on 28 May 2010, for approval. The plan will undergo a scrutiny process before it is submitted to the Cabinet Secretary for Justice in September 2010. The Life/Time Schools Outreach Project has been piloted throughout 2008-09 and has received excellent feedback from all the schools who have participated in it. Lothian and Borders annual accounts will be published each year after they have been audited and approved by the Scottish Government. Lothian and Borders undergoes an external audit each year by the Scottish Government appointed auditor, who is currently Audit Scotland. Following the publication of the Chaotic Lives Report in 2009, development work is ongoing to take forward the recommendations from the Report. The Lothian and Borders MAPPA Annual Report published by the `Responsible Authority`, outlines the progress that has been made through the multi-agency public protection arrangements (MAPPAs) in our area.
